Random Thoughts

Reader Comments (4)

I strongly agree.

I used to be a chocoholic which some folks find amusing.

It wasn't, it isn't. I abused chocolate and myself in the process because I was using it for the wrong reasons.

Now that I've started my own blog and control when I eat chocolate and how, focusing on the experience and giving it my full attention, I am much happier and healthier over all.

This is true for all food and for all the things we do in life. We rush rush rush and then at the end of life I fear we feel regrets. I don't want to do that.

Thank you for these thoughts. They certainly triggered some of my own you can see.

I guess when you're so busy trying to come up with new recipes, you forget the one's already written.

I have to stop myself and find new ways of putting "speedbumps" in my life to keep from rushing through things. Originally writing a food blog was supposed to help refocus things, and have something to pour thoughts and what-have-you's in, but that's kind of become its own little person to tend to, and then, like a crazy person, I started another blog, so now it's like having two children. But I think you're right, we need to stop and remind ourselves how lucky we are to be able to have the space to put all our good energy into, whether it's by profession or hobby. It's still energy we choose to focus onto something, versus having our information prescribed to us.

I used to rush with every single posting of mine not long ago;but not anymore now! I take it easy and just flow with the mood. Thanks for sharing this thought!
